I am so excited about this awesome Silhouette SD Electronic Cutting Machine Bundle GIVEAWAY!!!
Silhouette America sent me a Silhouette SD machine to try and will send the winner of my giveaway one, too (details below)!
I found a crown silhouette in their store for a mere 99 cents. It had lettering that said, “Domestic Goddess,” but I cropped it out using the free Silhouette Software (which was included).
I used their black vinyl and cut out the crown.
Now I have a fancy THRONE in the bathroom! LOL!
Next I played with their new Frosted Vinyl.
Since I didn’t have a cute fish bowl, I added the frosted vinyl to some glass from a hanging candle lantern.
I love how it can out! I can’t wait to use the frosted vinyl on mirrors and other glass objects around my home.
I also tried using some adhesive paper. It’s basically sticker paper. I played around and created a few personalized graphics, pressed CUT and stuck them on cards. Easy peasy!
Now I have to be honest here. See, over a year ago, I purchased a Cricut Expression during a Black Friday sale. I even bought the Sure Cuts A Lot Software. I tried and tried to get the hang of it, but failed miserably. So I put it back in the box. And that’s where it’s stayed since.
When my Silhouette SD arrived, it took me a few days to take it out of the box. But to my surprise, setup and actual cutting was a breeze! No confusing software or file conversions. Yeah!
Yes, both machines have their advantages. But for me, I’m all about doing AWESOME with little effort.

Yes, I cut out 195 felt pieces–for a total of 95 candy cane holders–with a pair of Ginghers at Christmas. They’re still sitting there, ready to be embroidered. Eeek!

I saw on a blog somewhere they made labels for all sorts of things like glass apothecary jars and I also saw a great stand mixer decal adornment. I could defintely come up with all kinds of fun things!
What would I make with a Silhouette? Only EVERYTHING! Cards, stickers, tons of vinyl decals…I love that there are so many options with this machine. Hopefully random.org will like me!

Oh my! I have so many projects waiting for the special touch of the Silhouette it’s hard to pick just one. However, I would have to say…”Years” for the outside of my photo albums. Fingers and toes crossed!

This looks like so much fun! The first thing I would make if I won the Silhouette would be vinyl decorations for my daughters room. She turned 10 this year and we are redoing everything into an older “tween” look. She loves the vinyl lettering on the wall and I haven’t found anyone who can do it yet.

I think I would be vinyl lettering everything in my house… first one would be TRASH CAN – maybe making an obvious sign on it would get more stuff IN it. I love that you don’t need cartridges for it – I have wanted something like the Cricut for a long time but didn’t want to invest in a million cartridges – I am soooo excited you posted about this on your blog Diva because I could have been left in the dark ages forever!

The first thing I’d do with a silhouette cutter is stare at it in awe for a few minutes and then let the creating begin … Vinyl decals, subway signs, our house number placed on our door, make a card or two and then cut some fabric, the list is endless.
I would make personalized tote bags so all the little girls in my life could tote their coloring books to church in style.
I think the easier question to answer is “what wouldn’t I do with si amazing machine” Right off the bat I’d get started on making some awesome decor and party favors for my bff’s babyshower and then some cute personalized onesies. My list of projects is oh so long!

I am too excited about this giveaway!!! I am a teacher, Mom, and scrapbooking queen. I literally can think of thousands of ways to use this awesome machine. The first thing I would make would be some vinyl wording for organizational bins that toys are stored in for my son’s room.

The question shouldn’t be what would I make, it should be what WOULDN’T I make?! I am smitten with this machine since discovering it just last week, and I would love to have one. I have two windows on the side of my front door that I would love to put some kind of decorative etching on for privacy. I want to add vinyl letters in my kitchen. Making temporary tattoos for my kids that they picked out and designed themselves would be so very cool! They would love that, and I would love to see their faces, wearing their very own creations!
The possibilities are ENDLESS with this awesome machine!!
