Wow great job, I love the black storage units too. Now if you could come over and organize my kids craft room, my paints and my gift wrap I would be oh so happy!

Alma...great idea! Sounds much like the way I store my knit fabrics, except they are in cube storage systems from Target. I only wish I had found clear cubes as it would have made the fabric easily to see.

I'd love to see pics Alma...I get a kick out of seeing everyone's stash!

As a quilter with beaucoup fabric, I found 2 items helpful: a bakers shelves (Container Store - you can build to the height you want and the shelves are steel, take much weight and are open looking) and the nylon storage cubes at Container Store with handles to put the fabric in (divided by color or category such as Christmas fabric). The nylon cubes I use are 12x12 which is wide enough to put two columns of fabric (if you fold narrowly) and you get a lot of fabric into each cube. Also, if you get white, you get to easily see what's in it (in the baker's shelves) and can pick up by handles easily to take it to your working table...

Wow, you are a woman after my own heart – so organised! I had "clean up stash" on my holiday to-do list, and finding this post on you blog has inspired me to do it properly. If only I had room for a cutting table
